Conventional aerobic treatment units (ATU) use an air compressor to force air through diffusers in the bottom of the aeration tank. These compressors consume large amounts of power (even more when the filters are not changed) wear out quickly, and are costly to replace.

Aero-Tech Extended Aeration units eliminate the compressor problems by utilizing a USA patented submersible aeration/effluent pump to recirculate the wastewater while inducing air and oxygen into the system.  This pump runs silently in the bottom of the tank.
